Wed: Sonya and Michael

Sonya and Michael are some of the most sincerely sweet people I've had the pleasure of photographing. Their genuine emotion and excitement over their marriage was so captivating to witness. They planned their wedding to be an intimate occasion with only a few close friends and family present. Because photography was not allowed during the ceremony, I had the rare chance to just sit and enjoy being a witness - without the camera in front of my face! The ceremony was short but full of meaning. Sonya and Michael couldn't keep their eyes off of each other, with Sonya grinning from ear to ear. PRECIOUS. They received all of their guests in the reception hall and had a chance to greet everyone before heading over to the beautiful Carolina Inn for a special lunch. Here is what their day looked like to me!
Sonya and I had a very early start at the salon.

She was bursting with joy from the get-go!

I wish you could read the sweet text messages on the blog! Too cute!

I'm glad I at least got the chance to photograph Sonya and her dad coming down this aisle.

Last shot before the ceremony started..

First shot after it ended.. you can just see the joy!

I could have photographed these two for hours! Love the beautiful settings at the Carolina Inn!

Sonya and Michael found me through our mutual friend Ashley. She is great for many reasons... keeping a spoon on her nose is just one of them :-)

Sonya and Michael, I wish you two the happiest of marriages! You are so sweet, and I loved getting to know you and photographing your big day!

Becker Family

Wow! August has proved to be a busy month!! I've had more shoots this month than I've had all summer! The first to make the blog is the Becker family. I had shot Ashley's senior portraits a while back, and I was excited to get the chance to shoot her brother, Matthew's senior portraits! We spent a little time around the capitol and then headed over to Pullen Park to get some shots with the whole family. They were such good sports in the heat, and you can't even tell, because they all look great in every shot!
Meet Matthew!

Family time!

Love this cute shot of Mom and Dad!

Good looking family! Am I right?!

Ashley!

I had such a great time catching up with you guys, and taking some fun shots for your family! Matthew and Ashley, good luck with the new school year!

Donovan's Dish

Well, this will be a little something different on the blog! I recently had the opportunity to do a shoot for the up and coming catering company, Donovan's Dish! The owners, Jill and TJ Donovan were so great to work with, and I even got to sample TJ's delicious food! I hope these photos make it look even a fraction as yummy as it was! TJ was telling me how his family owned a restaurant, and he learned his skills growing up in that environment. Jill told me he "plates" every meal he makes for her at home! That is the mark of someone who really has a passion for what he does! Be sure to stop by their booth next weekend at the Southern Bridal Show and Expo at the fairgrounds. Yum Yum Yum!
