Tiny Tanner Scott

Another sweet baby face! A few weeks ago I traveled to South Carolina to photograph the new addition in the Beeson family! Little Tanner Scott's parents went to ASU with me, and a few years later I shot their wedding. I was so excited to capture this next stage of their lives. Tanner was such a sweet little guy, and put up with a lot from this crazy photography lady. Unlike most newborns, he was very alert, and focused, and he hardly cried at all! I really love the shots we got. Here are just a few of my favorites!

Check out those big, beautiful eyes!

I'm going to say this is a real smile, and not just gas:-)

Ha, this was relaxing between set-ups. His little head is so tiny in daddy's hand!

I adore the next three shots. I know they are similar, but I just couldn't pick a favorite!

Thanks for letting me do this for you guys! Your little boy is so cute and sweet! Can't wait to watch him change and grow:-)

St. Topher!

Ok, so my friend Ashley asked me to photograph her and her son, Topher on St. Patrick's day! Ashley is a photographer too, and does really fun, whimsical, theme shoots. But she wanted some of the two of them together, so she brought me in on the game. She and Topher were in leprechaun(?) outfits and ready for some St. Patrick's day fun at the Art Museum. It turned out to be a pretty cute shoot! You can tell that Topher is used to being in front of the camera. Ashley sure has him trained! Anyway, here are some that I thought were really cute!

A little visual music.

A couple of weekends ago a friend asked me to go see some bands play at a local venue. Neither of us had heard of them before that night, but after a quick listen we were convinced it would be a good time. I guess you would place them in the folk genre, with their mandolins, fiddles, and banjos, but really they were a bit of everything. I must say the headliners, Cadillac Sky, put on a great show. It was lively and entertaining, and I really enjoyed their set. They even played a cover of a Death Cab for Cutie song which was great. I actually brought my camera along, which is not something I usually do if it's not a band I know. I enjoyed photographing these guys, though the lighting was a bit tricky. Here are a few I liked. I'll get to see them again at Merlefest at the end of the month! Hoorah!

This guy beatboxed. It was wild.

Baby Caidence!

I love babies. Really. I love shooting itty bitty newborns! They are so new and precious and wrinkly and cute. I've gotten to shoot two different newbies in as many weeks, and it's just made my heart giggle. Caidence is the beautiful daughter of my friend Amy, whom I met through Raleigh Rec Softball. I took her maternity pictures back in the fall, and it was so fun to finally meet her little girl! Here are some of Baby Caidence's first official pictures by The Indie Image:-)

I love her expression!

These next two are my favorites.

Diaper "cake"!

I love knitted baby clothes! Sooooo cute!

Caidence's big brother.

She was so alert! Most little ones sleep during these photoshoots. Not this one, she was interested in everything:-)

Toesies!

Family love:-)

Now she sleeps.. so peaceful.
